Rhonda Jenkins

This is my 14th year of teaching 3rd grade here at Pope County Elementary.  I have an Associate of Science degree from SIC in Harrisburg  and a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education from SIU-Carbondale.  I was a resident of Pope County from 1987 to 2011 and love being a part of this friendly community.  I currently reside in Cave In Rock, Illinois.  I have two grown sons, two stepdaughters, and two grandchildren.  Before teaching 3rd grade, I worked at other institutions and held different teaching positions.  I worked at the bank in Elizabethtown, Illinois for several years.  I also taught Business classes at Golconda Job Corp for SIC.  In addition, I was a Title aide here at Pope County, and substitute taught for a few years at several Southern Illinois schools.  I enjoy traveling, reading, cooking, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.  I am looking forward to another productive school year and to working with my new students.
